  • From 1990 to 1992, with Fort Lauderdale Swim Team as Assistant National Coach, Head Senior Coach, Head Masters Coach and Head Coach Jack Nelson Swim Camp.

  • From 1992 to 1994, with Swimming Education Research & Development Foundation Bangalore, India, as Vice President/Program Director of Basavangudi Aquatic Centre, Bangalore.
  • From 1994 to 2010, with K.C.Reddy Swim Centre, Bangalore, as Program Director/Head Coach.
  • Currently Program Director/Head Coach Dolphin Aquatics.

Achievements

  • 1990 to 1992 in U.S.A
    • Worked as an Assistant capacity developing several Olympians including Joel Thomas 100 freestyle relay Gold – Barcelona Olympics 1992) and Sheila Taromina (4 x 200 freestyle relay Gold – Atlanta Olympics 1996).
    • Also worked with several other Olympians from countries such as Finland, Brazil, etc.
  • 1995 till date in India (National)
    • Swimmers coached have won over 500 National Gold medals and broken 80 National records (junior & senior). SGF Nationals not included.
    • Awarded Coach of the Year by the Karnataka State Swimming Association for the years 1996 and 1997.
    • Awarded Karnataka Olympic Association Award 2010.
    • Swimmers coached include National Champions and SAF record holders like Rehan Poncha, Mandar Divase, Sandeep Sejwal, Puneet Rana and Virdhawal Khade.

Coach of Olympians

Shikha Tandon, Nisha Millet, Hakimuddin S.H, Rehan Poncha, Virdhawal Khade, Sandeep Sejwal.

  • Virdhawal Khade is the only Indian swimmer ever to qualify for 3 events for the Olympics. He also became the youngest ever Indian swimmer to qualify when he was 15 years old. He, along with his teammate Sandeep Sejwal are the only Indian swimmers to qualify for 2 Olympics. He also won 3 golds and 3 silvers at the Commonwealth Youth Games in Pune, 2008. He is currently the national record holder for 50, 100, and 200 Freestyle and 50 m and 100 m butterfly. He won a Bronze medal at the Asian Games 2010, the first Medal in Aquatics for India in 24 years.
  • Sandeep Sejwal became the first Breaststroke swimmer from India to qualify for the Beijing Olympic Games 2008 and London 2012. He qualified in the 100 and 200m Breaststroke. He currently holds the national records for the 50, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke.
  • Prashant Karmakar won the first medal (s9 category) in aquatics history for India at the Commonwealth Games, Delhi.
  • Shikha currently holds 6 Best Indian Performance records, a feat unmatched by any other Indian Swimmer. She won a bronze medal in the Asian Indoor Games 2005. The first Indian woman to win a medal at a Senior Asian Meet. Has coached swimmers to 19 all-time Best Indian Performance Records.

Other Achievements

Responsible for the SEARCH Level 2 coaching manuals – the only non-ASCA material to be formally accepted by the World Swimming Coaches Association as education material for WSCA Certification in INDIA.
